The Sewage Works Exhibition,which has been held by the Japan Sewage Works Association since 1987, is the largest water-related exhibition in the world.
Last year, the exhibition was held in Tokyo, with 313 companies or organizations exhibiting at 1,018 booths, and attracting 80,900 visitors.
This year's event will include 227 exhibitors from South Korea, 78 from China, and 184 from other countries, bringing together people from around the world.
The Japan Sewage Works Association, which holds the exhibition, is an organization which provides the public with information regarding the functions, benefits, operations, and issues regarding sewage works, and also publishes literature relating to sewage works.
We also hold meetings and panel discussions on improving sewage works, as well as training workshops and lectures for sewage engineers.
As of January 1 , 2012 , we have 3,058 members, including Japanese local governments, sewage works-related companies,and academic experts.
